Club accommodation has been very popular at Mt Buller since the 1960�s as it offered a lower entry level for the skiing family. Over time, Ski clubs have diminished in favor of private apartments.

Ski Clubs vary from the basic older style lodges with shared bedrooms and a few central bathrooms, to the more luxurious with en-suites. All have common cooking facilities and central living areas

Some smaller clubs have as few as 20 beds with 40-50 members and some have around 40 beds with many more members. Most require members to share bedrooms but some offer family memberships where depending on the period of use you can have a private room. Upon paying a once-only joining fee which varies from $10,000 to $30,000, a member gets to book accommodation at members rates which are considerably cheaper than commercial beds.
